Sculptra® Aesthetic (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) TV Commercial
admin : September 6, 2011 : Gcdermcentre BlogSculptra Aesthetic is a new type of facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. It helps correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles, and folds, that appear with aging by replacing lost collagen. The main ingredient is a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material that has been used by physicians for decades.
Sculptra Aesthetic works to replace lost collagen in a series of treatments administered by a Sculptra trained physician. On average, three injection sessions are needed over a period of a few months, to produce noticeable results that emerge subtly and can last up to two years
SCULPTRA® Aesthetic is an injectable implant containing microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), carboxymethylcellulose (USP), non-pyrogenic mannitol (USP) and sterile water for injection (USP). SCULPTRA Aesthetic is available in 367.5 mg dose vials and is to be reconstituted prior to use by the addition of 5 mL of Sterile Water for Injection, USP (SWFI) to form a sterile non-pyrogenic suspension.
Be careful when buying facial creams online, as many come from Mexico, and can be fake. Even worse, they may contain harmful ingredients including mercury as indicated in this latest investigation.

The AP (9/1) reports that health officials in Texas “are warning of at least 18 cases of mercury poisoning in South Texas that could be linked to a face cream sold in Mexico, but not approved for use in the United States. The Texas Department of State Health Services announced Thursday that it had tested 16 samples of Crema Aguamary products obtained from individuals in Texas and all had elevated mercury levels — in some cases hundreds of thousands of times higher than permitted in the US.” The state officials said they had shared the information with the FDA.
